From the 1550s through to the current day, the Ottoman pottery of the Isnik region of Turkey has been renown for its vibrant pottery, heavy in floral patterns featuring tulips, hyacinths, carnations (aka gillyflowers), roses and other flowers plus cyprus trees, saz leaves, and the Chinese-inspired lotus, chrysanthemum and peony. Earlier pieces from the region used lots of blue, in mimicry of the Eastern imported pottery. Here are our versions of those vibrant designs. Want a size, shape, or color not listed?
